Mauve..thanks for taking my pici and trying to get the white balance correct. I was not sure what to do here..the sun was hot and bright just horrid. The girls were in sun but not directly and my shot the sun is off to the right side toward the center. I focused on the girls but blew the sky..no blinkies but no rich color. In trying to get the color right for the red and orange of the skirts and the white of the blouses..everything else went too far, especially the scarf on the Mom.

My inexperience shows here and I'm so happy that you took the time to help. Thank you for your advice and for correcting the WB balance and color of this shot..THANK YOU!!!

... again. My patch to digikam was accepted in the stable trunk right on time, and will make it to next stable release (1.4.0), so I leave with a free mind.

See you all soon.

Again, please forgive my silence. I'm still working on Digikam, and not in the most pleasant part of the job. I had the basics done last week, but now is time to streamline my patches, curb to the desires of the people responsible to the general conception of the software, etc. It's a huge and unpleasant but necessary task to iron out all the wrinkles of the code before it can make it to release.

Not much visual improvements at this stage :

Hi everyone, I take the occasion to say hello after a nice week of vacations and another very busy hacking week since coming back.

No pictures to show (yet), because I finally grew tired enough of my main software (digikam : http://www.digikam.org) b&w conversion tools to peek a good look at them.

Basically, the b&w right hand tool panel looks like this :

Just a quick note to let you know I'll be away from today until the end of next week.

As much as I love my computers, being the geek that I am, my idea of vacations do not include an internet connection

Therefore, I'll see you all upon my return to civilisation , with a lot of new pictures to show you !

See you all soon,

Mauve
