Sorry I have not posted anything for a few days, but I have had a lot on. I saw these this morning as I drove past so I dashed home to get the camera and this is one of the results.

Yes - yet another poppy, I am sorry but I just had to include this one. My wife has been saying for weeks that she did not remember planting the strange looking plant, then this morning when I came down to breakfast she said "Come and look at this" and over night it had produced this bloom. I promise this is the last.!!!

This was taken with the 70 - 300 on the Lumix G1 just after photographing the Blue Tits in action. I wanted to explore the capabilities of the lens in macro mode.

This was a pure accident but I rather liked the effect as it looked a bit erie and mystical so I thought I would post it and see what others felt about it. I was checking out the macro capabilities of the 70-300 lens that I used for my last post and was trying to focus on a plant when I must have accidentally pressed the shutter.

I was trying out a borrowed lens yesterday - an Olympus 70-300mm on my Lumix G1 which I had mounted on a tripod. This is just one one a series of these three birds which I took in the space of about 5 minutes. They were feeding on the contents of the cage and one of them was feeding one of the others, obviously mother and chick.
