As for the hood.... shame on Olympus for not including it. I tend to use hoods whenever possible... just reducing stray light and enhancing contrast... so to pay exhorbitant prices for hoods after paying for premium lenses does sort of frost me. It wouldn't keep me from buying the lens, though.
Agreed... they should include the metal one like the Voigtlanders 25, 17.5 do...

Couldn't agree more. Like the 135mm f2L was the lens on my 5d2, this will be my "go to" on the E-P3.

Um, after downloading the Dpreview sample images, I'm not so sure. I'm reserving judgment for now but I don't think I'm going to rush to buy the first one in the shop.

The DPR samples are terrible- you shouldn't use that fr judgement, use Robin Wong's photos.

The DPR samples are so terrible that they pulled the post on the weekend and cleaned off all of the comments- and said "we'll have better samples soon." They still haven't done so though.

From the pictures released to date of the 75mm, it appears the lens hood will be similar to the hood for the 12mm Zuiko, ie - tightens on using a little screw.

On the 12mm Zuiko you can't attach the lens hood if you have a filter screwed onto the lens. It will be disappointing if Olympus maintains this design for the 75mm. If they do, I wouldn't bother getting the lens hood.
