As well as painting it black, I reckon that the 45mm could do with being fattened up as well. A lens that has a barrel that is a smaller diameter than the mount just looks a bit odd. The 12mm seems to manage to look better proportioned with it's larger diameter and focus ring that sits proud of the body.
