It's only in-stock for Internet ordering, not in- store. I bought one last week when visiting NYC and had to order by phone with next-day store delivery since they're not off-the-shelf in-store yet.

I received mine about 2 weeks ago, after being backordered for 2 months.
Today I received the lens hood! IT was backordered too, but just came in.
So far I am pretty happy with the lens. I'll try to make a more cohesive assessment of it soon.

What gives? I thought their inventory was all there in NY??
