Since in this case, they are listing these are manufacturers demos, my guess is they where handled with care. Ordered mine yesterday and I'm looking forward to working with it next weekend at a model shoot class.

OK; ordered one. Sitting here debating what lenses to carry tomorrow for a family outing (not sure if the 12-50 will be adequate or if I'll need the 45-200 as well) and it hits me that the 14-150 would do the trick.
Justification complete. Order entered.

Arrived today, free ground shipping took two days. Lens looks brand new.
Every time I see/hold this lens I do a double take. Pics don't do justice to how small and light it is.

It occurs to me that Cameta may be selling new lenses in this offer... but may have to call them refurbished in order to advertise a price that low. On the other hand, people return lenses for all kinds of reasons and many are literally unused.

Is the mark up on these lenses that big that Cameta can give a 45% discount?

I see that it weighs ~100g more than the m 40-150, same dimensions at 14mm. Do you know if it extends farther? Also, how is IQ compared to 14-42IIR & 40-150? I have both but also suffer from lenschangeophobia.

Perhaps not. But Cameta is a chain and they could potentially be blowing these out if there is an updated version on the way (not that I've heard anything like that). But I'm only thinking aloud here. They may very well be "refurbished," which may simply mean the were checked out after being returned. And the reason for many of those returns may be something as simple as buyers' remorse or a gift that wasn't needed.
I'm a bit torn. The only Olympus body I have in my micro four-thirds kit is the E-PM1. The others are my G3 and GX1. So I could theoretically be using it most on Panasonic bodies.

Mine came today. Wow! What a lens. I was just comparing it to the Tamron 24-135 on my old rebel. The Oly weighs about 25% of the Tamron. I can't wait to really try this out. Thanks Amit for the heads up on this deal.

I don't remember if it extends farther. The two lenses have better sharpness than the single lens, but it's close enough that I'd rather not be switching lenses. Most of the time I'm using primes; if I'm zooming I want the max flexibility.
