Default Aki-Asahi Leatherette for E-P3 by Month's End

For those who favor the 'classic' look of a leather bound cam, Aki-Asahi.com is almost ready to sell a skin for the E-P3. See their blog at 革製“製œ —主€—˜ƒ–ƒ*‚.

Here's what it will look like on the silver:

I've had this product on my E-P1 and E-P2. Really great quality - and only about $15 delivered! (No, I don't get paid...)

Looks like they're adding an optional piece for the button area:

Here it is on black:

Thanked by ZephyrZ33, wonglp, Frunch and 1 others.

Love the look of the black! Thanks for sharing the news. I think I'll be ordering as well.

Will the grip still fit over it?

I assume it won't. I think I'll prefer it this way without grip. Just like my OM-2n .

I love the Aki-asahi skin on the E-P1. I don't think I'd be using the piece around the button area though.

Yes! It's a no brainer...if you like the look, you can put on any grip you want. Notice mounting hole in the side is open (lower left last picture). I think they have another pic on the site with the grip mounted over the skin.

The English translation isn't clear, but here's a photo:
Thanked by Amin Sabet.

This should also make the camera easier to handle without a grip, as I think the camera would be rather slippery to hold otherwise. But it looks damn good with or without the grip. ;)

Looks awesome. I would buy one as well.although I think I would like real leather better and I would pay premium.
