I was about to purchase one of these yesterday and then noticed that Overstock.com isn't an authorized dealer, and Rokinon won't honor the warranty if you purchase from them.

Overstock also seems to get an unusually high number of bad reviews on the ratings sites.

It's an outstanding price and I'm half-way ready to pull the trigger anyway. (You can't buy a used one on eBay for much cheaper, and if you did, it wouldn't have a warranty anyway.)

I'm curious to know if anyone has anyone had issues/success with purchasing lenses from Overstock.com before?

No problems here - bought my 7.5mm from them in the summer, arrived quickly and new in the box - I've never had an issue with overstock, bought a few things for our new home recently and everything went well with several purchases.

I've been lusting over this lens for a while now, and I tried to get in on the Lightning deal but I was too slow. :( But with both of these discounts it's $15 cheaper than that deal as I don't have to pay tax. So thanks, rusteel and duke!!

No lenses, but they are good about returns if you got a bad copy. A lens will not likely break down the road w/o abuse, especially a mechanical one like the Roki. BTW, $235.95 in my cart for a black one!
