Thinking I might pick this up for a family member.
The G3 has better ergonomic feel (not usability) but the OM-D blows it out of the water in IQ and movies. You're paying significantly more for the OM-D so the G3 is definitely a bargain for what you get.

I just bought an OM-D after playing with a friends. Upgraded from a G3 and the EVF is significantly better on the OM-D plus, Noise performance, and IBIS and it's easy to justify.

B&H also has secondhand G3/14-42 kits starting at $220. Sort of hard to justify getting any new m4/3 body with those prices...

I purchased a new G3 from Amazon last Wednesday for $300, used it all day yesterday at a motorcycle show with the 7-14 attached. Glad I bought it to go with my GX1. I didn't use the viewfinder at all yesterday but I used the articulating screen for almost every shot.

I plan to sell the kit lens for $100, so for about $200 out-of-pocket I'm pretty happy to have the second body.

Darn. I been trying to convince my sister to get this. I finally had her call me and say she wants it but B&H doesn't have it anymore. I guess she waited too long. Is it on sale anywhere else?

Currently, B&H and Amazon have the body only for $299.
Five minutes ago Amazon listed the G3 WITH kit lens for $369... I just went back and it's up to $389!
