I'll see if I can find it again for you, the reviewer had a g3 supplied with a 14-45 and stated it would be available as an upgrade to the craptastic 14-42, instead orbiting body only.

I wonder if they'll charge a bit more for that.. I'm planning on selling the kit lens that comes with the G3 and an improved 14-45 might be what I need.

My G3 is on order with PD but its taking foreverrrrr. If amazon miraculously gets stock in I may have to take advantage of this.

Check out "vistek.ca" they list g3 w/ 14-42 or 14-45 but costs $200 more

Very interesting! Boy howdy is it expensive though..

I have the 14-45mm from my GF1 that I will likely use as the de facto "kit" lens with my G3 (assuming I get one.) I may sell the 14-42mm or keep it as a backup. That is, of course, assuming that the focus speed of the current 14-42mm (quoted at 0.18 sec) isn't much faster than the 14-45mm on the G3. Anyone have a chance to compare yet?

Edit: for some reason I thought that Panasonic had come out with a second-generation of the 14-42mm. Looks like it's the same old lens that came with the G2, so I'll definitely be using my 14-45mm.
