Default Why I went to bed 1 hour later than expected.

So I was brushing my teeth and I noticed the faucet dripping. My wife had inadvertantly left the faucet just enough to form a drop every 3 seconds or so. I decided to try to capture it. Not as easy as I thought! I ended up bringing 2 150W halogen torchiere lamps into the bathroom on top of the 150W above the medicine cabinet. Even with a total of 450W in a 5ft. x 7ft. bathroom it took about 60 shots for me to get this.

Here is what the set up looked like. The room is a lot brighter than it appears. I set exposure on the bulbs.

love it! Wish the drop was a bit larger, but nothing you can do about that. I really like the symmetry. I think if you can find a way to make the photo brighter to really bring out the contrast between the white ceramic and the chrome faucet it would be more impactful.

Thumbs up

Great thread - and photos! Keep 'em coming! One handled ceramic handles are wild cards in this game.

I find a glass or a small bowl normally works best!

Seriously - great photo, perfect timing and oh, what dedication. I bet your wife thought you were nuts!

Great stuff. To my eye it's also the traditional styling of the fittings that helps the interest here.
