I've seen some beautiful railroad photos on other threads, so I know there are some railfans here. My late mother in law was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad, so a love of trains runs in my husband's family. I'm a beginner at this, so I don't have too many yet, but here are a couple of my photos to get started. Please share yours - photos of anything railway related are welcome here!

On the Settle to Carlisle line , heading south through the Eden valley near
Armathwaite . I'm looking forward to the end of the month when the all new
Tornado passes this way ! We still build new locomotives in the UK

These were made in 2006 during "Dordt in stoom" (Dordrecht in steam, a biannual steam event in Dordrecht, The Netherlands) with the Nikon F3 and probably the 85/1.8.
