Awesome sets Don! I might have to take some snaps of my Ed Brown/CR Sebenza this weekend. I have a number of benchmades I normally carry also. Any tips on making shots like you did?

Hey... fellow Washingtonian! My lighting set-up for these is very simple... I use a mini softbox overhead and at the rear, a larger softbox to camera left, and reflector to camera right... usually. Often I will highlight features with flashlights, mirrors, and other reflectors. I also have a variety of other images, each done with different lighting...

It looks like some of us are quite safe from potential camera muggers!

I have an appreciation for knives but I have 2 fears: my wife, who is not so careful with knives. I don't see myself ever buying anything expensive for our kitchen(uh I can imagine using a knife as a hammer or to pry open a door or something). And I appreciate the utility of a knive for day to day usage, but I would want to familiarize myself with Canadian/provincial carrying laws.

Ron.. the Leafstorm is a great Spyderco... nice! Great steel and build.

I need to restrain my photographic contributions to this thread... I'm afraid I might suck down the entire USA's bandwidth, terribly, if I didn't.

Thanks, Jay... glad you appreciate the images. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful range of great tools! And they're all such fun to photograph!
Thanked by jloden.

Rob, yes, a thread for guns and EDC is a great idea!

Back to knives...

GH2 with Canon FDn 50/1.4 lens

Becker BK-14 "Eskabar" - one of my favorite Beckers... just a great size, general purpose knife...

The little Spyderco Dragonfly... so very small, yet of such high quality and capability.
