Post your top five images of January 2013
Inspired by KVG's 'Top three of 2012', I hope you guys have been productive in the new year! Let's see your top five shots of January 2013!
I guess I'll go first.
I started the new year trying new things. I don't do enough Black and White so I was doing a lot of B&W stuff this month. G2/Olympus 75mm f1.8
I love portraits, so my gf Laura is always on hand to model. G5/Olympus 75mm f1.8
I just love non-traditional portraits, this is one of my favorites. G5/Minolta MD 50mm f1.4
Another portrait the light was just fantastic! G5/Minolta MD 50mm f1.4
My final selection for the month: I caught this amazing sunrise over... Walmart? Yep. I think it works. G5/Minolta MD 50mm f1.4

Excellent idea, Vincent! I especially like these 2. Lemme look through my January images and get back to you shortly.

Cool idea. Nice to see some mini-highlights of what people have been shooting (and what we may have missed). Smaller pool now that I'm shooting more with the XE1, but still getting some good mileage out of the G5.
(Warning: previously posted shots)
A North Vancouver sunset.

From the same day, but the city skyline.
Reversing ring macro of a cactus.
Some textures I liked from discarded steel girders at the shipyard

Nice shots phrenic, I really like the first two and don't remember seeing them before.
I didn't shoot much this month but here are the two images I liked the most:

I was all over the place this month with photos.
Messing around with higher ISO and burst:
Taking advantage of weather sealing:
I don't know what this is called but I like it:
And an honorable mention - the first photo I've taken on film in a decade or more. I found a Yashica Electro 35 rangefinder at a thrift shop for $5:

Here's mine for January. Didn't get out to shoot as much as I'd have liked this month sadly.
So happens all my shots for January were with my Nikon gear (hope that's ok for purposes of these threads).
D800 + 50mm f/1.4
D600 + 50mm f/1.4
D600 + 50mm f/1.4
D600 + 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5
