Excellent work..more Art than traditional photo's. Spending that much time on creation/design to me equals art. You definitely have talent! I really like your work and wonder if you've exhibited it anywhere and do you "sell" your work?

I attended the RISD..on a Governors Scholarship having won a state wide art competition many years ago. My point here is that there was another student there that was doing work similar to your's in concept but his were not photo original...they were created with pen and ink. He used color wash and his stuff was amazing!

Your's is too..fascinating work! Thank you for sharing here. I too would like to know more about how you create!

Thank you very much! RISD is quite the school, from what I know of it. And winning a scholorship there is quite impressive (I know they don't give out any nowadays)! I'd love to see your work.

Just let me know anything you'd like to know more about and I'd be happy to oblige. ;]

Anyways, speaking of 4/3ds, I took my GF1 with me today to the State Fair.
Ah the fair... I have such a hate/love relationship with it. The smells, the people, the sights... It's all overload, and I end up feeling dirty afterwords, but the experience is definitely worth it! My brother and I went, and had a grand ol' time.

"Chicken 'N' Chops'

This booth was smoking quite a bit as they cooked their goods. It made some AMAZING light rays as the sun passed through the tree and onto the smoke. Really sweet stuff.

The 20mm does quite well with flares, wouldn't you say?

I just thought I'd bump this just to see what people's thoughts were on everything. Topics can sure get out of the 'Active' area real quick! ;]

What of my work stands out to you? I'm always up for hearing some criticism.

Thanks for the bump, I would have missed that shot of sun rays... stunning and great to see you using your GF1 so well!

Cheers

Beautiful flare Jamus. The lens on the Leica X1 also produces some nice flare. I've been quite surprised on occasion as I haven't always noticed it at the time! Please post more of your work, it leaves me speechless

Jamus, I know what you mean about county and state fairs, at least the ones in the USA. Some are more of an overload than others, that's for sure!

Beautiful photograph - I like your style and use of the lens flare, color tone and angle very much.

Thanks everyone! Yeah that 20mm is a keeper.

Here's another shot from my 'Art a Day' project.
This one was yesterday (click it for description and larger image on Flickr):

I shot this on my D300s with my new 24-70mm lens.
