Awesome BTCC! I was at Oulton Park for my first real trek with my Vivitar 28-200mm. All handheld btw, I didn't have a tripod.

Some really good pics above, I almost didn't post these ;)

Im heading of the the Singapore F1 in Sep.

Ive got my OMD all ready to go but the only Tele I have is the Pan 45-200.

Has anyone shot Singapore F1 ( Night race but with good lighting ) previously ?

Im assuming I will need to bump up the iso fairly high for the 45-200 due to its slowness ?

Would I be better off picking up a cheap old Nikkor 180mm 2.8 MF ?

Will be using the pre focussing technique mostly anyway so MF should not really be an issue.

Cheers
Dan

Cracking shots mate! I'm hoping to give this a go when the BTCC visits Knockhill in August.
Thanked by abeetz.

Love your motorsport stuff GRID, wish I had change to try the 300mm 2.8, juicy results coming from that lens.

Some mixed icelandic motorsport

Drift practice

Rallycross

Car Festival 2012 @ Akureyri, iceland

Hello everyone!

It's been a while since I posted anything on account of a change in job that now has me working overseas on a regular basis.

Anyway, I managed to get along to the final round of the 2012 MSA British Rallycross Championship at Croft Circuit on 27/10. It was great to see rallycross back at Croft, and we were blessed with some wonderful autumn sunshine.

Anyway, on to some photos: -

#1 Fantastic Volvo running in the Supernational category

#2 RX150 Buggy in the late afternoon sunshine

#3 Pat Doran tipping it into Clervaux Corner

#4 Stock Hatches thumping over the kerbs

#5 Terrific looking Citroen of Andy Knowles

#6 Andy Scott in his terrific Ford Focus Supercar

All the images were taken using a Panasonic GH2 and an old manual focus Tokina 300mm f2.8 AT-X SD lens, with #2 also having a 2XTC fitted.

There's a full gallery here: -

Zenfolio | Simon Harrison Photography | 2012 MSA British Rallycross Championship Round 6

for those that are interested.

Cheers,

Simon.
