Taken with G3 in manual mode with Pan Leica 45 mm with focus set to infinity, f/8, ASA 160, 2 second exposure on a tripod (no delay). I thought that most were overexposed. Suggestions welcome.

I live in Huntsville, AL, home to space camp and the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. This year they decided to have a fireworks show right next to the Center. Its not everyday that one sees fireworks launched next to a Saturn V rocket in the same scene. It was pretty amazing. This is only the 3rd time I've in ernest tried to capture fireworks. Worked out pretty well this time. I'm convinced I need a cable release.

And this was unexpected. About 10 seconds into the grand finale, the wind shifted and well, this is what happend with all the smoke:
My first attempt at photographing fireworks. Had an amazing viewpoint from Fremont to the South Lake Union area of Seattle. All shot with the Oly 45 on my GX1.
