Default Shooting time lapse on a GF1

I know you need a remote interval timer release.

Is the conversion to a movie done in post-processing? (i.e, assembling a bunch f stills into a movie)

Or can you configure the GF1 menu settings somehow to record a movie using the remote at certain intervals?

Thanks,

Q

I just happened to be reading up on time lapse earlier and ran across this tutorial. It's not specific to any particular camera so you'll have to adapt the concepts to the GF1.

Time-Lapse Tutorial - digitalartwork – Multimedia Journalism

The compilation of the stills into a video is what creates the effect.

This is one of the reasons why we've pushed Panasonic to add tethering support in a firmware release. Basically if a computer can drive the camera, letting the smarter machine handle all the timing and compositing work.

I do timelapse work using an old Nikon Coolpix L11 camera and Boinx Software's 'iStopMotion" software.

I'd LOVE to be able to do this work with my G1 and awesome lenses.
