Default How useful is OIS?

Assuming that I am shooting video at 720/30fps with my shutter speed at 160th and the focal length of the lens does not exceed 45mm, how useful is Pany's OIS for both handheld and with the camera on a monopod. I can see the value of OIS when shooting stills (of still subjects) at low shutter speeds, but how much of that utility carries over to the example above?

It actually smooths things out a fair bit handheld. If anything I appreciate IS more in video, since subject motion doesn't ruin the IS.

Thanks for the reply. I was actually hoping that the utility was not as great, as this would make my lens selection a bit easier, since I would have then gravitated to a fast prime over an OIS enabled lens. Now I feel like I am being pulled towards the upcoming 12-35. Heaven help my wallet!
