Default Voigtlander 58mm f/1.4 Nokton SLII Image Thread

The Nokton is an excellent lens on SLRs and on MFT it gets close to a 135mm AOV, which make it pretty interesting to use:

All these are HDRs - light was difficult.

I have a high regard for this lens too. Found it useful for portrait, wildlife and architecture.

Default More Voigtlander 58mm f/1.4 Photos

I've been enjoying this lens since March this year. Here's what I've gotten out of it...

Perhaps the best aspects of the lens are its short minimum focusing distance (45cm) and its wide open IQ--though most of these are shot at f/2.8.
Most of these are from the Panasonic G2:

f/2.8

f/2.8

How's this lens shot wide open?

Its soft on the corners and edges, but it is sharp wide open in the center.

The leaf in the moss is at f/1.4 (as is the moss by itself on the wood). You can see how detailed it is on the tip, though f/1.4 is extremely narrow at the mfd, so not much else is in focus. And that's nice, since as long as your composition is relatively close to the center rather than the edges, anything that would look soft is out of focus anyway.

I had a Nikon 50 1.4 AIS, and I thought that lens on M43 wasn't useable wide open. I switched to the 50 1.8 AIS, and it's much sharper wide/open. That sample looks pretty good!
