Default Minolta 28mm f/2.8 MD W. Rokkor Image Thread

I wasn't too positive about this lens in my review, but browsing through my pictures I started to like this one the most of all the ones I took at this spot.

It is taken at the Netherlands American Cemetery And Memorial, near the village of Margraten in the south of The Netherlands. It was a very cold day and very few people were present. All these people buried here died in a far-away country, sent to liberate us from the Germans in the 2nd World War. A humbling thought.

Thanked by BBW, eno789, walt_tbay and 10 others.

Ad, yours is a very strong image and a great tribute to those who gave their lives for freedom. You captured the light beautifully. Thank you so much for posting this image.

Default Spring is in the room

Here's another one. Think I'm starting to like this lens, despite all its shortcomings! I also made a shot with the Panny 20, but I didn't like that one, wrong perspective.

I went for a walk around Downtown Sandusky with my 28mm on my E-PL1 so I took some shots.

Default Shooting Around with the MC 28 mm

This week I tested a Pentax 28 mm f 2.8. I decided to give the Minolta MC Rokkor 28 mm f 2.8 a go today. I feel this lens is a little more punchy. Displays more contrast and sharpness.

I did a few side by side comparos, but It's getting a little too late to post them.

Here's some images.

All shot with a G1 / ISO 200 / Aperture 3 / Color EFX Pro.

Amazingly sharp ... well not really amazingly ... but a really sharp image. Never remembered Rokkor being that sharp.
