I certainly will do. I went to the Panasonic stand first, and asked to put a 45mm on my GF1 I took with me. I fell for that lens as soon as I held it. Feels great, took a couple of quick snaps, and then went off to buy it (with my discount voucher).

First shot with it, very very rough quick snap.

Quick shot tonight of Danbo, with my new PL45mm.

Its quite dark in my study, so shot on tripod f/11 6sec at ISO 100 Not bad I thought.

Right - I have poped out today and taken a few snaps, with this lens. Have to admit, it makes the GF1 look a more serious camera with that square hood on :)

Absolutely beautiful captures! Thx for sharing these. I can't wait to get my paws on this lens. Would you happen to have any portrait samples? Thx.

Thanks for the comments, I did try to do some nice variations on what the lens could be used for - Portraits is something I have on my list next! I think this will make a good portrait lens in the right environment despite what some forums say.

I ordered this lens for general usage, as I have little interest in Macros (though, I do take hand-held closeups of urban fragments). It will be utilized more as how you've used it (walk around), street photography, travel & portraits. Tele macro lenses are such versatile tools. Cheers.

Sabesh, thats where this lens shines I think. I also dont really do macro, but I do a lot of closeup work (urban fragments - I like that term).

I am waiting for an oppertunity to give it a work out as a portrait lens, I have a few model shoots coming up shortly, and will plan to take a few shots with the GF1 as and when I can.

It will also be slotted into weddings for me, I dont have a Nikon Macro, so the PL45 and GF1 will be used for closeups :)

Received this lens yesterday. My son reluctantly obliging me a quick bokeh test with some tricky shrubs behind him:
