Beautiful photographs. They make a good demonstration to the usefulness of this lens. The cat and the squirrel are great!

Wonderful photography F1L1P, and terrific examples of what this lens can do in good hands. Thanks for sharing these!

Really interesting
Hand help or with a monopod/Tripod?

First post with new 45-200
I purchased the 45-200 when on our trip to Brighton, have not had chance to give it a spin until today due to work & bad weather.
I have discovered that for me it is critical to use the EVF as my viewing choice with this lens otherwise I find it difficult to be sure I am focusing on the correct part of the image (I use centre point focussing for 99% of my images).
I took this today, it is an old door to a castle up the road from where I live, I love the contrasting vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines coupled with the mix of tones and textures.
I hope others like it as well - too early to confirm, but so far I think this lens has huge potential going forwards!

I can't speak to the lens except to say that I love this photograph of your neighboring castle's door. The detail and crisp clarity are fantastic - and I'm a sucker for architectural close ups...parts of buildings isolated from their whole have always been my one of my main interests.

Thanks BBW, if only this door could talk it would tell some stories - the building is now part of the college but years ago it used to house the bodyguards for the local Lord who lives across the road.
It is the original door and has been well preserved, it does however look as if someone has been a little over enthusiastic with an oil can.
Sorry - rambling!! the lens is great so far and I too like to isolate parts of building in order to capture angles, shapes, features etc.

Ian many thanks for some background on this door. I always appreciate knowing the stories behind things. Yes, if only they could talk, indeed!

I like it a lot, and I have the same opinion on this lens. It's not so easy to use for a newbie like me, but I'm sure it will spend a lot of time on my camera, especially when spring will be here.
