This is the lens that really sold me on MFT. One from the late fall, taken at f/1.7:

For me the 20/1.7 on a µ4/3 camera is the modern reincarnation of a Leica CL and 40/2 Summicron: sharp, mobile, and responsive. Now all we need is for Panasonic to make us a compact 50/1.7 with similar imaging qualities!

Happy and sad moments behind the scenes at the local ballet company's last performance ever of The Nutcracker (their parent organization was hit hard by the recession and is disbanding the ballet at the end of this season), all with the 20/1.7 on a G1:

The artistic director and her granddaughter in the wings before their entrance for the party scene.
The director had wanted to make sure her granddaughter got one chance to be in her production. ISO 3200; 1/20 @ f/1.7.

A member of the "Waltz of the Flowers" corps fight back tears before her last-ever entrance. ISO 1600; 1/50 @ f/1.7.

Cast members embrace onstage after the final curtain falls. Both ISO 1600; 1/80 and 1/60 @ f/1.7.
Thanked by Bill, BBW, Carol Stee and 11 others.

Touching moments, Ranger. My 10 yo niece works very hard and ballet and was selected for a production of Nutcracker this year. It meant the world to her.

Damn, this lens is brilliant (and photos too), but the price... in my country I'd have to work 150 hours to get it. And I'm not earning the lowest rate. Welcome to socialism :D
Thanked by Carol Stee and Armanius.
