Used IBIS on these as I'd heard its better than the OIS, all were handheld although I'd be tempted to use at least a monopod next time.

I thought it went ok, although I've had to do a lot of work in Photoshop due to the light conditions, although the EM5 has plenty of scope in the RAW files!

I have been experimenting with this lens with OIS or IBIS on a monopod. The results are good either way, though I think OIS might work a little more consistently. At first that puzzled me, but possible OIS corrects a little differently and works a little better for camera movement when partly stabilized with a monopod - not sure. Either way, I'm very impressed by the results.

I suspect OIS might be better for panning, although I'm aware there are different IS modes built into the EM5 which might be better for Plane photography, updated the lens to the v1.2 firmware, unlikely to get back to the airport today but I might go out there tomorrow for another go!

For clarification, I don't think I'm getting sharper results from one or the other, but the percentage of sharp files seemed a little higher with OIS. The results were so close that it is possible that my impression is just based on sample size or some other random factor. The mental take-away for me was actually that I could use either and not worry.

I haven't stopped by this thread for awhile. Sheesh. It's becoming more difficult for me to resist the allure of this lens. Thanks, everyone.

Went back to Edinburgh Airport this evening for another go, generally very pleased although still encountering some issues where it refuses to focus, even with the V1.2 firmware, its quite frustrating, I just hope its not the body :(
