People overhype all kinds of things at one time or another. This thread is about the RX100 .

Copy - Just keeping it real since the title is "Sony RX100, a M43 killer?" to which the OMD also falls under

How so, you mean it killed all of the OTHER m43 camera bodies???

It certainly isn't doing the FORMAT any harm!

One thing is for certain - it makes a buying a compact, larger-than-P&S-sensor camera very complex these days.

Don't ask me...ask the OP...it's their thread and title, not mine....All I did was re-state the title.

I jumped down to the pros and cons while glancing at the photos it takes (which all were very nice). The "Cons" made me laugh.

This camera is a point and shoot. Turn it on, zoom it, take a photo. If the photos come out better than your last point and shoot be happy. Yaaaaay. The reviewer's cons seemed like he was gauging this p&s to be more than most users want out of a p&s camera.

I just want some shallow DOF options, so the RX100 cannot be my main travel cam, but if they get down to $400 used, then I'm likely to get one, maybe. Perhaps. Of course, by then, there'll be something else to keep my attention. :)

Exactamente!

Luckily I live close enough to a B&M Sony outlet that I can expect that price for an official refurb. For some reason the B&M stores price lower than the refurbs onoine.
