Default Nik Stuff... WOW!

so, from the PP thread, i got reobsessed with playing with PP software, having previously decided id just get Topaz, as a bang for yer buck idea... i thought i should give Nik a shot! so i DLd them all via trial, and i LOVE them!

heres a random OK picture i took, just trying to get a picture of this dogs eyes for my mom to go "OMG LOOK AT HIS EYES!"... and thought it would be a good one to play around with
really, the dog looked somewhere in between 1 and 2

i think ill be snagging the Nik complete package... does anyone know if its version of color efex has the 26 or 55 filters in it?

Silver Efex

the hdr and silver efex were ridiculously easy... all this time i thought you guys had SKILL! lol ;) teasing!
but i remember doing all these crazy hdr math formulae with that photomatix program, and giving up... now i just go "oooh me likey dat one!" and CLICK! its done! OMG! i love it!
silver efex was similarly easy... and i love that you can still tweak stuff around even with choosing a preset
the 2 editted pics would have taken me roughly 30 seconds to do if i wasnt looking around at options for the first time.
highly reccommend downloading the trial for anyone who hasnt tried these programs

the sharpening one still had me lost in "omg why cant i sharpen to save my life?!" land... no easy preset screens there ;) hehe

thank you alan for that pp thread that got me downloading!

Those peepers are awesome!

I picked up the complete package last month and, so far, have just been using Color Efex, HDR and Silver... great stuff and I think a good value for the complete package, especially with the mu-43 discount.

I saw on their website, if purchasing color efex separately, there's two versions.... Did you get 26 or 55 filters with it?
