Default Recommendations for a small Pelican style case?

Pelican seems kind of pricy, but i am looking for a hard case for travel that i can cut foam to fit my gx1 body, and 2 to 3 prime lenses.
Any suggestions?
Any other nice brands aside from pelican?

I own otterbox cases, pelican cases, and some no-name gun cases. Pelican is head and shoulders above the competition. Hardigg bought pelican a few years back, so I assume the Hardigg/Storm cases may now be up to par with the pelican cases.

If you want to custom cut the foam, look for a case with solid foam, not the pick and pluck. That stuff falls apart with repeated use (at least with guns being inserted/removed frequently). I recommend cutting with a hot wire cutter or an electric carving knife.

Good Luck!

I use a Pelican 1400 case that I got on eBay for $50 used but in very good condition (foam was never plucked). You really can't get any better than a Pelican case IMO. Check out the Pelican case torture tests on Youtube to see how durable one is.

Take a look at the Pelican 120...it was mentioned in that OMD review video that was posted here yesterday....nice little case for the money. I just looked at Amazon it is the 1120 Pelican case he showed in that video.

Why do you need a case for a small pelican?

I use a Pelican 1150 when carrying a minimalist kit in harsh conditions. I can carry the PM1 with 20mm attached, spare battery, a couple filters, lens hood, and lens pen. The 14-42 II and WCON can replace the filters, hood, and cleaning kit if necessary. At one time I had it configured to carry the PM1 with 14-42 attached, the battery charger, and a neck strap...

Fitting a camera much larger than the PM1 with a lens attached might be an issue with the 1150.

I also carry a Pelican 1150 and cant give it enough praise. It has literally been through Hell and High Water. After changing the foam for the fifth time in 5 years..I can fit my GF2, Panny 14-42, Industar 69, Canon fd 50mm with adapter, and 2 cables. If travelling in the rough..Pelican is the way to go.
