Talking A night out with the trusty GF1

As my GF1 gets ever older its slowly been relegated to the "party-camera" haha.
Anyway took some shots last weekend with the P20. Set and forget to Manual f/1.7 1/30 ISO800 and the GF1 never fails me at night.
Edited RAW later with Aperture 3 and upped the contrast in some for some arty fun.

(P.S. Literally just ordered the PL25, so excited!)

Messing around with MF.

Actually accidentally overexposed this one due to my 1/30 shutter speed but it came out lovely I think. Subject was wearing the perfect clothes for a great B&W shot.

My friends moving on to the next destination.

Our destination!

Beer and photography, a good mix?
Thanked by phigmov, Bokeaji, BLX and 3 others.

My GF1 has been delegated as the "people can bump into this camera" camera.

And now it's permanently set on Dynamic B&W. Is that what you're using?

No I don't shoot JPEG anymore, RAW only for me, found that I wasn't using any of the JPEGs so I save 2 or 3gb per 8gb card now.
I'm just using the built in B&W conversion in Aperture 3.

Nice
Results from built in bw!
Have you tried a trial version of NIK silver efex pro 2?
It's amazing
From the looks of these, I think you'd have a blast with it

I have heard of it, never given it a go, maybe I should :)

BTW just so we're clear its Aperture 3 doing the B&W not built into the camera, my wording before might have sounded that way.

Silver Efex gives some really nice options for grain, color filters, etc. It's excellent software. I use it in Photoshop and like the results. Nice shots, beer and photography definitely go together!
