I've never shot RAW...........but Picasa does handle raw for many cameras, see here:

Picasa can handle G series RAW Herman it does not however apply full lens correction ie Lens geometry correction and CA removal but for some images this does not matter.

The image size is also a little larger than the jpeg as there is no image cropping to allow for the lens correction with the in camera jpeg engine

Herman you gain very little shooting RAW but hey try it its no Sin and some swear by it
