Cool

Yes, that's one thing we are good at having here is ice!

NYC hit 103 F. degrees yesterday... My car's read out said 108 in the hot sun. We are not used to this here on this part of the eastern seaboard. Fortunately, where we live there's been a breeze...and we have not lost power, so we've got plenty o' ice cubes.

Unfortunately, many are not fairing so well here - which that linked article refers to, should anyone have interest. I realize other parts of the world have much more intense heat and worse, we're just not used to it nor prepared for it in many instances. Electronic devices, etc., add to the overuse of the power grid, of course - so everyone should unplug if they don't need to use "it".

I'm dying to put a title on this but Don AKA Streetshooter always says it's verboten, and I try to do what Don says...most of the time.

Default Washington Sailing School

G2 & 45-200mm; most on the water were at 200mm (handheld), cropped, and post processed with Viveza or Silver Efex Pro. The sailing school takes place on the Potomac River just south of Washington's National Airport. It was a very hot, humid, and hazy day and not ideal for shooting, but it was the only day I had a chance to get out while my son was attending the school.

Great idea! And what FUN! Summertime. Great pics all...
BBW, I feel for you guys back East. We're use to 100 to 110 here...but I know the East Coast rarely gets that high.
