Hi,

these shots were made in the famous gallery GUM, on the Red Square in Moscow, last saterday.

G1 with 7-14mm

Given the events of the 1940s through until the early 1990s, it is a wonder that any vintage German autos survive. I'd love to know the story of these Auto-Union survivors and how they came to be here now!

Hi, Chuck,

many nazis in high positions (miltary or civilian) owned such cars.
And they were captured as trophies by russian soldiers when they conquered the eastern parts of nazi germany.

From Wikipedia, in russian :

В СССР автомобили Horch попали уже как трофеи (то есть захваченные во время войны) или в качестве репатриации.

(In the Soviet Union, Horch cars arrived as trophies or as "repatriation")
Here, I'm not sure the russian text is exact, I think it should be "репарации", which means "compensation of damage done"
