Thank you Ollie and this was taken with PL 14-150mm f 3.5 -5.6. This lens is super sharp with great details.
I am not familiar with the Oly lens you mentioned and I hope other members can comment to help you out with your purchase.
I know for sure they do not stack up to the PL 14-150.

The distance was about 15 feet away. This is not a candid and a paid model that I happen to be at the right place and right time and captured her for free. She taught that was one of the student!

For me I would go for the 14-150 mm becos such a range is very flexible. For the last 3 years I shot macros, birds, people, landscape with the PL14-150 lens.

Good luck with your purchase

Cheers and have a nice day

Again I would be interested in knowing the lens and the distance.

I don't remember if you said in your description whether this was posed or candid?

I am thinking about getting either the Olympus M43 14-150 or the 40-150. Do you or any other forum members have an opinion as to whether their is a difference in performance of these 2 lenses in the 40-150 range?

sitting in his small cabinet he allowed me to make this photograph. It's clear that he will get a print.

Thanked by Alf, ricseet, eno789 and 3 others.

Thanks for your response Ric. Is the PL 14-150 that you use not the Olympus Micro Four Thirds 14-150? If not who makes it and is it a micro four thirds lens or a lens you use with an adapter? I had assumed it was the Olympus lens but get the impression from your reply that it may be something else. I am not familiar with PL. Is it Panasonic Leica? Which camera are you using in this shot?

Thanks for any info.

Is his charm related to the gears he is wearing around his neck ?
Not really but I got myself a near new 10-24mm Nikon lens off Tony for a good price when decided to upgrade to full-frame.

HI Ollie, sorry yes it is the Panasonic Leica lens. It is a 4/3 lens and you will need to buy an adapter as well. More over this lens is expensive, when I bought it 3 years ago it was about Singapore $2300. I use this lens with the GH1.

cheers

Thanks for the info Ric.
I did a search and came across a PL 14-150 M43 lens for $1299.us.
Still pretty expensive.

Back to the drawing board. I think I will wait and check out the new Olympus lenses due out in the spring.
Thanked by ricseet.
