Wonderful capture, and very abstract. Had to look twice to see what it was.

A re-process of one I did earlier this year. More contrasty thanks to s/efex pro.

Marc lives in Dinan, France. Each day he visits his usual Tabac for a newspaper, a smoke and a glass of brandy. He walks with a cane. There is an air of shabby grandeur about him when he walks, as though he believes he rises above his predicament. His face has lived a thousand lives. He ignores the cancer warning on the poster next to him. In fact, the juxtaposition of the Top Sante headline is an irony. He was very accommodating when I approached him to take a photo (initially of his glasses, cane, journal &brandy on the bar counter) he led me outside when I asked to take a shot of him. We shook hands after.
