Striking colors, spiny. Tim Burton would be proud. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful colors and overall rendition, Spat! A perfect example that the latest, greatest, mostest camera has little, if anything, to do with great photography. It's mostly to do with the photographer and, secondarily, the lens. This wonderful portrait could have been made with nearly any m4/3 camera body, but still, shows the G2 to good advantage.
Thanked by spatulaboy.

Thanks for the kind words, I'm extremely flattered!

Of course i agree with you 100%. I think often people focus on gear a bit too much and lose track of the photography aspect of it all. I can tell you there are plenty of times when I feel pretty inadequate with my 'old' camera while everyone is flaunting their shiny new gear everywhere on this forum. lol. But you know what? When I'm out shooting all that stuff evaporates and the only thing that's on my mind is 'the shot'.

Don't get me wrong, I'm guilty of gear lust myself, and gear is definitely an integral part of photography. I'm waiting in anticipation of what Panny and Oly will reveal in the coming weeks! I've even entertained the thought of upgrading to a GH3 if it's compelling enough. Until then I'm very happy with my G2!

spatulaboy... I'm as much of a gear hound as anyone, probably more guilty in this regard than most... but I do totally realize that keeping up with the latest/greatest cameras won't really make my images better... that part is up to me, not the camera. That said, like most of us, I get really excited about the latest/greatest cameras and lenses!
