Smile My lovely little nephew :D

Hi everyone, I have to admit I've been very lazy since my Summer break started a month ago, although I've been taking a lot of photos I've not been doing many uploads.I've been thinking "Whats the point of taking photos if you don't share them for people to enjoy?" So today i've decided enough is enough and I've got to upload and share some photos. So here's my first set of uploads, this is my lovely little nephew Sammy, he's 2years old, I love spending time with him and seeing his silly smile!

I'll let the photos tell you a bit about him

All taken with the Panny 20mm f1.7 on my G1 set to "nature" film mode so they're all .jpegs out of camera - I love the colours the 20mm gives

My nephew loves to play and have fun...

#10 A little laundry basket he put over his head, to hide in. My mother and I kept saying "Where's Sammy?" when he covered his head with it and he couldn't stop giggling each time, it's so funny how something so simple can make little kids happy and laugh, guess I'm kind of jealous of his innocence and how he doesn't have to worry about study, money or food lol

My nephew is starting to learn to eat by himself.. so no more of me holding his spoon like an airplane :-(

My nephew loves to dress up and travel...

#12 - The little bag on the right is full of his little toy cars lol

My newphew... is a little photographer :-)

#13 He's probably thinking "Say Cheese!" although he can't say it himself yet haha

#14 Self-Potrait? He actually holds the camera this way, as if he's taking a self-potrait guess its because he's used to seeing the front of my camera so he thinks its the right way to hold it lol

Hi Vince, what a wonderful little character... and a great series, thanks for sharing!

Strange you have the 14-140 but no GH1? it would be nice for the future to have some video of the little guy!

Cheers

Brian

Vince, your nephew Sammy is really cute and clearly a character already! I love that #3 especially - really nice color, too!

Children live in the moment completely!

You two are very lucky to have each other.

What is the lego camera that he is holding? Is it actually functional or is it just a skin or something like that?

Some nice images, but way too much of the same subject for a person not who does not know the little kid. If you select just few of your favorites, it would be easier to give C&C.

:)

Thanks for the comments everyone :-)

Brian, I originally got the G1 as a birthday/Christmas present to see how serious I was about photography. Then later bought the 14-140mm from Monza (Robert) off Getdpi as I thought the range would be very useful and didnt get a GH1 as I thought I wouldn't need video too much, although now waiting to see what comes out in September and would consider the GH2.

BBW thanks, he is such a little character, he's loved by everyone in the family - which is why they're often asking me to take photos like these of him :-)

Krang: The camera is actually functional you can find it here: Amazon.com: LEGO 3MP Digital Camera: Toys & Games

although i have to admit its a bit pricey, its really tough and the kids love it. I guess you're right for the C & C but I guess this set is more for enjoyment and fun than more serious stuff - so i guess I shd leave the C & C for other sets that i'll upload soon :-)

Vince, personally, I don't think you posted too many shots - at this size it's very easy to scroll through them quickly to get a sense of his character and the fun he's having

Also, I'd be on the lookout for an end of line GH1 right now - with the firmware hack available it's superb value for money. I guess the GH2 will have a touch LCD - but be restricted compared to the GH1 + hack in terms of compression quality and other limiting factors (battery locked to Panasonic, length of recording time limited)... although, if the heavens are kind - the hack will migrate to the GH2 too.

Cheers

Brian

Thanks Fiddler :-) He is a great little guy, so lively and full of fun and energy. The Karare kid shot is probably my favourite photo that I've taken so far since startin photography last Nov :-)

He is a wonderful little character - same age as my youngest grandson and yes they take delight in the smallest things. Not too many pics for my taste.

Another vote for the GH1 and hack.
