An outstanding portrait, Hera. Simply and beautifully executed.

I would crop a little off the top to keep it tight to the subject's hood, but that's just my personal taste.

Thanks for posting!

I learn a lesson long ago.

Shoot always each shot if you can horizontal and vertical. On the vertical shots leave enough space for a magazine title. In this case if I want a print of this imag I'll crop 2" from the top, to turn it tont a 8"x10" or 11"x14" or 16"x20" print.

But this might get on a magazine page, publications love that top part free to add their title.

What you see here as it was composed. I see your point.

Cheers,

Hera

I shot their wedding last summer, I shot few weeks ago her belly with her hubby. Then it will be the baby girl. Life is a cycle, and I love being a part of it.

Thanked by Livnius and CUB.

Shoot wide ... one can always crop to suit. The converse is tricky.

After a long break, I am back posting.

The background was shot with Lumix GH2 last Friday.

The girl was shot in 2007 with a Canon 10D.

The blog post about it is at:

My Photo Ramblings: Fall Sonata Portrait (Montreal & Boudoir Photography)

Happy Fall everyone.

Cheers,

Hera
