I traded my D200 in for the GF1 and take it out several times a week. I go to uptown Charlotte when ever I can, but since it has been in the high 90's and low 100's, I am waiting for cooler weather before going back. In the mean time I am still finding things to shoot during short trips around farmers markets. Here is a shot, part of a set, that I took uptown. It was a wedding party and it took them 20+ minutes to walk one block. They were dancing and having a great time. Just part of what I never know what I am going to run into when I go uptown.

I too grew up in West Chester, attended East HS in the 1980's, But since I've now lived in Charlotte longer than I've lived in West Chester, I consider Charlotte my Hometown ...

A getting to know you shot with my EP1 and 17mm lens in the local town - I live in the sticks not a town at all so I make do with Stourport - the Black Country's playground.

So far I'm enjoying the EP1.

I like this thread and one of these days I'll have to take some photos of my own "hometown". In the meantime, I am enjoying seeing everyone else's very much!

Earlier this summer I was visiting my hometown, and the first time ever I felt like a tourist when I was walking through town with the GH-1 and the 14-140 lens - I hadn't been there in quite some time. So, can you guess what my hometown is? ;)
