Default A few shots walking around Cambridge

I thought I'd take my EPL-1 for a walk around Cambridge, and see what I got. This is my first attempt at something other than wildlife, so C + C is very welcome!

^These guys were amazing. As a musician myself I'm often critical of buskers but blimey these two blew me away. They need to be recording.

I was actually trying to get her confused expression, but she looked up just as I shot. I think it turned out okay!

All of these were shot with an adapted Canon 50mm f1.8, which I foolishly forgot my lens hood for! Duh. Next trip around town will be testing out my new Helios 44M that I took delivery of today!

Thanks for looking!

You did well! I guess people in the wild is a natural step from wildlife . Remarkable how many people are on their phones. Even the biker in the first image seems to be. I wonder how we'll look at these 5-10y from now. The last one is the most successful for me. My only criticism is that, fwiw, I don't think the selective color thing makes that yellow bag photo stronger. Good first outing, for sure.

A great set with a nice variety of styles. The B&W shots with the selective color are nicely done. There are several that I would hang on the wall!

You are making me miss Cambridge!! Lovely set, I'm not keen on selective coloring but I enjoyed the rest. Keep up the good work!

Looks like a good first outing. My fave is also the last, and the fellows on the bench made me look twice. Manual focusing on the street is a nice challenge!

Thanks for the comments guys! I love Cambridge, it's where I went to uni (not one of the ultra-prestigious ones though..!) so I guess I have a soft spot for it.

Got a couple more the next day with my new Helios. Still getting used to it.

^If you watch Fringe you'll see why I like this shot, otherwise it'll just look like an out of focus mess.

That's all from Cambridge for now... Off to Turkey in a few days!
Thanked by phigmov, Luckypenguin and twokatmew.
