Very Nice photos. Maybe we can get as many posts as the Bird thread?

My wife and I just got back from Oregon. A day trip up the Columbia River Gorge was a waterfall bonanza!

fantastic photos!
it would be helpful if people shared their camera / lens / filter / exposure information though.
are a lot of you using ND filters to get the smooth water flow effect or is it just longer shutter times?

I used an ND8 filter on my shots above. Couldn't get the shutter speed down far enough with just the aperture Otherwise, EXIF data is on mine if you click through to flickr. Those were shot with the 14-140.
Thanked by mzd.

Well, this is the best I could get without an ND filter. f/22, 1/10 sec.

Here's some waterfall pics I'm taken this spring. This first one of Verdeerker Falls in NY was taken on my very first outing with my E-PL2.

Verdeerker Falls, NY (14-42mm, f5, 1/500, ISO 200)

Middle Kent Falls, CT (14-42mm, f22, 1/3, ISO 200)
I used a cheapo polarized filter for these next two to slow down the shutter speed.

Upper Kent Falls, CT (14-42mm, f22, 1/3, ISO 200)

Croton Gorge Dam, NY (14-42mm, f10, 1/80, ISO 200)
So, this is technically a man-made waterfall, but I thought it was close enough!

All of these waterfall photos make me want to invest in an ND filter!
Thanked by Narnian, s0nus and Alanroseman.

I actually prefer the non HDR version. The shadows make it feel more dramatic. Cool shots!
