I ll start in Shiel bridge ( i have done Glasgow-Fort Williams and Fort Williams -Shiel Bridge a few years ago)

First a low level route via Glen Affric to Drumnadrochit.
A mid level route through the Monadliath
If the weather isnt too bad and my legs too, a few Munros in the Cairngorms, Braeriach- Ben Macdui, then east offtrail to Ben Avon.
Then Ballater - Tarfside-Stonybridge - Edzell - St Cyrus.

Just got this route and the foul weather alternatives accepted by the vetter.

My first hike in Scotland we had 100% sun
The second we had rain 7/7 24/24
I hope for a mix !

Sounds a great route, mainly it runs north of the one I did but I did pass through Ballater and Tarfside. Glen Affric should be magnificent and I love the Monadliath - which not everybody does! St Cyrus will be a great place to finish. Wish I was fit enough to do it again!

Look forward to seeing your pictures of the trek, I wish we'd had in my day.

Default the reason I bought the u4/3 system

I couldn't resist. shot with at canon p & s. We didn't make the pass and had to camp aprox 4000m. The reason I bought the micro four thirds system was weight/size and the ability to take nice pics
Thanked by s0nus and mnhoj.

Another great location. I wish Olympus Pens had been available back in the days when I was an active wild camper.

Reviving this thread. Recently redid the PP on this shot, and I think it came out quite nice.

This is Barranco Camp on Kilimanjaro:

Shot with my EPL1 and 14-42mm.
Thanked by phigmov, Livnius and mnhoj.

Where is that? Is it a semi-permanent tent? Tell us the story!
