Default Laid to rest in Paradise, Washington, U.S.

After an unexpected passing. I took my mother's ashes up to Mt. Rainier.
I only took five photos, which isn't my normal pattern.

But what photos they were... I'm happy I get to share with you all.

Taken August 3 with Panasonic 14mm f2.5 and Olympus E-PL3

Mt Rainier and Creek

Waterfall @ Mt Rainier

Overlooking the entire Paradise valley:

I'm sorry for your loss, but you're a good son. I can't think of a nicer place to hang out for an eternity or two. My folks took a sail in the Atlantic together after they'd both passed...

I spent a lot of time up there hiking, climbing, and cross country skiing back in 1980-83. It can be a dangerous place at times, and I had a couple of close calls. It's much nicer to think about staying there forever the way you've done it for your mother.
