Thank you John for the warm welcome.
I really have no other choice as I do not have any other lens except the 20mm f 1.7 and the L10 kit lens 14-50mm.
So are you you coming along with your PL 14-150 and PL 14-50 f 2.8?

cheers and take care

Hi Ric, I also have the PL 14-150 - which is why I appreciate how much skill you have in these images... absolutely fantastic!

Great having you here too

Cheer

Hi Ric glad you joined the group its very friendly and very talented as I can see from others work, its also not busy like DPR.

The 14-150 gets most use on account of its versatility it works well on any body from the L1 to the G's and Pens.

The 14-45 tends to get minimal use because the Pen with Kit lens is so small and light, the 14-50 tends to be balanced best on the L1.

Interesting how you used the Raynox 250 on the 14-150 with such great results .. I have the 250 (fz30 days) but not put it on the 14-150 as the adapter with it does not extend out enough to grip the filter recess it is the 49mm Raynox which vignettes excessively , its very sharp tho' for a closeup and handy to carry and is fine on small zooms like 14-42.

So 14-150 can do so much with one lens, I have the nikon 6T which is 62mm and with a ring adapts very well to the 14-150, less to carry about
so you have 28-300 + macro with the 6T which is about 2.9 diopter.

Hi John, yes it is nice here. From the postings I can see there are lots of talented people here. I am hoping to learn more as I want to get better with Landscape and B&W.
The Raynox was a left over from the FZ30 days. I waited for about 7 months for the 14-150 to arrive and during that time I was so desperate that I used the Raynox on the 14-50 f 2.8 to shoot macros. I hardly use the Raynox nowadays as the 150mm is gets me close enough and I crop like hell. So I have stop taking spiders nowadays - too much of a pain with the Raynox and it makes me sick sea sometimes.
The 6T sounds interesting. BTW, what is the min working distance?

cheers

Ric the 6T is hard to get (discontinued) ~120$ US on Ebay

Distance varies a little Ric at 62 goes straight onto the 14-140 so needs a 67 > 62 ring for the 14-150.
Distance on the 14-150 is about 300 - 400 mm

If the sun comes out here I will shoot a few 14-150 + 6T

Cheers

Stunning photo! I need to get myself some sharper lenses I think once I can afford them. I get this level or sharpness from my adapted enlarging lenses I use for macro.
