Default Ghosts and goblins and things that go croak in the night

Makes me laugh. As a little kid vacationing at Peter's Pond on Cape Cod, the bullfrogs were making a racket one evening after the tykes like me had gone to bed. Opening my eyes in near terror, because I didn't know what the sound was, I had the misfortune to see my father's white shirt hanging on a clothes post on the other side of the room. I let out a holler that brought a small crowd of adults hurrying to the room, who eventually successfully convinced me that the shirt was not a ghost and that the croaking was just the bull frogs. I love the sound of bull frogs now, but they always make me think of that incident of my childhood.

Hope he made it across the road. I'll help black snakes, but I have to draw the line somewhere.
