You just have to love them!
My bearded collie Bailey. It is so hard to see them getting old

Here's the cat's face as he eyes up Little B with some alarm

I love this series! Really captures their reactions to each other!

Kara, the new addition to our house, a 6 year old husky/corgi mix rescue. A "low rider" husky I like to call her.
Two test pictures taken with the Minolta 85/2 I received today on my G1.
A full shot showing the corgi influence (Panny LX5 I must confess)

In the first 2 shots she looks husky to me. The last shot surprises after the first 2. First it gives the impression of corgi height (height is not immediately apparent in the first 2) plus she looks wider in the body and solider than a husky there, and the real jarring point for me is the tail hanging down instead of up and curled over the back. You're right about the corgi influence showing there.
I used to have an Akita until she died a couple of years ago at 14 years. I thought she looked like a german shepherd on steroids or a husky on even more steroids. The 3rd shot reminds me a bit of her apart from the tail and colouring, and the sense of height.
In all 3 shots she looks like she has a lovely personality.

She is a sweetheart - though not a snuggle-puppy like our Apollo our German Shepherd or Patches our Duck Toller/Corgi mix.
She does have the standard husky curly tail, though I realize I only have one picture with it up and it is not very good.
We had a husky, Tasha, for over 15 years. She loved to sit behind the wheel of my daughter's car.
