Default Cherry Blossom and Adobe Lightroom. What do you think?

So just for fun, I used Lightroom to create vignettes and desaturate all the colors except for some of the cherry blossom photos that I posted earlier. What do you guys think??

Thanked by texascbx, sphexx, walt_tbay and 1 others.

I think the second one is the best of them all.

IMO the third one is the best because the textures are visible.

I hate selective colour.

But I love these (the first one not so much) because it looks like they should be this way.

Beautiful

These are much better than the original, IMO. I particularly like #3. It's a much more simply shot, and the soft, bright flowers are really set off by the B&W hard bark.

I am with WT21, my favorite is your third, and I think it works just beautifully showing off the delicate nature of the blossoms against the bark of the tree.

I don't know how one desaturates colors selectively in Lightroom, I guess I need to finally take some of those tutorials.

I generally do to and I agree - this is done very tastefully and compliments the subject very well. Sadly, so many people are LOVING selective color.

2nd and 3rd are interesting, the garbage can really messes up the 1st one.

Hi BBW. It's actually really easy. You can either use the brush stroke, or you can use the target adjustment tool in the HSL panel (Develop). It's super easy once you see it on video. Check one of the lightroom tutorial podcasts (like Lightroom Killer Tips), or try youtube.

Some quick hits:
