Wow, there is some seriously wonderful shots in this thread!
I like these challenges because they get me to think outside the box in terms of my shooting. I don't shoot B&W, but this salon got me to experiment a little and expand my mind. Now, I still don't have anything that even comes close the the shots you guys have posted, but they're a little better than a picture of a snowstorm at midnight...

Love the island shot, Stefan.

Being a willing subject, I have many images of my cat. I was experimenting with b/w and I think I was getting on her nerves by this point.
Thanked by Livnius.

Default What's more monochrome than this?

Monochrome. That'll be black and white. What do I know that's black and white...?

Great shots everyone! Just a reminder that the Salon will close May 25 at 11:59P.

So many great shots deserved to be recognized. DaveL suggest that we have multiple categories. There will still be a Salon winner, who will be the curator of the next and there will also be category winners:

Best portrait
Best urban cityscape/architecture
Best nature/landscape
Best street
Best abstract/experimental
Thanked by jloden.

Is chivalry dead?

The motto of chivalry is also the motto of wisdom; to serve all, but love only one.
