I've been asking for this feature since the day I got my G3. I posted here, in DPreview, in m43 Rumors, in Luminous Landscape, etc. So far, nothing from Panasonic. Is definitively a very minor firmware fix they can do in a firmware update, but they, for a reason that is beyond me, refuse to do.
I only hope Vitaliy can do something for us when he finally cracks open the G3.

I'm very disappointed with the lack of this feature. :(

Just got my GX1 and was dismayed to see this feature missing as well. I really need a mode that keeps the shutter speed high with a fixed aperture and then meters using ISO. None of the other modes in the camera will do this. I end up using S mode and set the ISO high enough to ensure a large aperture, but auto-ISO in M mode would be much preferred.

I also sent a request to Panasonic through their support webiste. It's good to hear the Oly's do this, I will definitely buy one of those next time around if Panasonic doesn't get this feature added.

Received a reply back from Panasonic and glad to see it wasn't just an automated response.
