Hi All,
I've been using a G1 and GF1 for the last year and have just upgraded the GF1 to the GX1. As others have said, it's a big improvement in just about every respect. The changeover from GF1 to GX1 is easy as many of the features are similar. The high iso performance is way better that the GF1 and I generally stopped at 800 iso with that camera. With the GX1 and the improved noise reduction of Lightroom 4, I can now safely shoot at 3200 iso which is a big plus.
The additional resolution also helps if you need to crop images as you have so much more to play with. I also use Nikon 50mm f1.4 and 105mm f2.5 with a Voigtlander adapter and the GX1's manual focus assistance is excellent especially with the new LVF-2 viewfinder.
The only minor niggle I have is with the thumbwheel on the back as it's a bit too easy to click whilst turning and end-up changing the exposure compensation instead of the aperature!
Managed to get an excellent deal from Camera World at Focus with a free LVF-2!
Here's the Robin at 3200 ISO using a 45-200 lens at 200mm f 5.6
Mike
