How about price at intro that is reasonable and still will be cut in half in 6 months...:)?

But my list would mainly be EVF and tilt screen (no swivel please). I would pick such a camera up in an instant, whether that is a Panasonic or Olympus...

Realistically if they wish to compete with the Sony / Fugi competition

1. EVF built in on the side.
2. Built in flash
3. Few more dedicated buttons. Better dials for primary and secondary functions of each dedicated mode.
4. Interchangable grip options.
5. Tilting LCD
6. Compatible RC flash function with Oly flash units.

Not expected, but would be nice

1. ISO 50 or 80
2. Built in ND filter

Slightly bigger size is fine. Body only price sno more than Nex6.

If this picture is correct the GX2 competes with the G5 and probably will have an higher price level since it has a better body and controls.
Since Panasonic has now two sensors the G5 and the GH3 I assume that it might get the GH3 sensor minus the video capabilities in order to put it in between the G5 and the GH3.
Thanked by Iansky and zuzullo.

I'd like to see the GX line or Pen Modle be aimed at the enthusiast/pro still photographer, as I feel the GH cuts a bit much in order to appeal to the video/stills hybrid photog.

- Built in left side EVF (rangefinder-esque, even if it means a slightly smaller screen)
- Weather sealed.
- Lower base ISO, 50-100 please! (built in ND?)
- Higher flash sync speed. 1/250-500
- Wireless flash system
- Gh3's wifi/smart phone integration.
- Roughly the same form/size as the GX1, given some wiggle room for the built-in EVF

I'd be willing to pay well over $1k if Oly or Pany could make this happen.

P.S. an optional battery grip would be nice, but not a deal breaker.

I think the direction Panasonic has taken with the GH3 leaves room for a fully-featured compact model to be introduced. So, as a GX2 it'd want the following...

- Same form and size as the GX1.
- Weathersealed
- Top-left EVF
- Multi-aspect sensor
- 1/8000" shutter
- Tilt screen
- Release with a weathersealed sealed 20/f1.7 MkII
- Sub-$1000 body-only

Just like the OM-D with accessory grip.

And the OM-D actually exists, unlike this photo chop.

If Panny had a shutter capable of 1/8000th, they would certainly have used it on their top of the line GH3. Multi-aspect sensor is interesting. Some are saying the GH3 did away with it, some are saying it has one, just not the firmware to support it. Time will tell.

Default Contant preview issue

We could be friends again if Panasonic:

Makes the [Constant Preview] function available in A-mode, S-mode and P-mode.

Really only 2 things that would interest me at this point:

1) Built-in EVF
2) Electronic shutter with no ISO limits

Oh, an upgraded sensor and processing would be nice, but the most important thing is that the camera be small and quiet. Small is hard if you have to keep the LVF-2 plugged in, and quiet is possible only when the mechanical shutter can be disabled. The G5 seems to have figured 2) out, but unfortunately it's big and you can't use the electronic shutter above ISO 1600.
